Next Generation Pastor / Leader

Newton Covenant Church (NCC) is seeking a full-time Next Gen Pastor / Leader to lead the development of its Next Generation Ministry, serving children, youth, and young adults. This position will provide spiritual, pastoral, and administrative leadership to all aspects of NCC’s Next Generation Ministry. The Next Gen Pastor / Leader will build upon NCC’s current children and youth programming, as NCC continues to pursue its vision and mission.

Newton Covenant Church is a vibrant, multiethnic, multi-generational church in the greater Boston area. At NCC, our mission is to engage with God and God's word, foster a caring community of disciples of Jesus, bring God's healing to our hurting world, and invite our neighbors to follow Jesus with us. Our community gathers for weekly worship, children's Sunday School, weekly and monthly community groups, youth group, adult Bible studies, and service opportunities.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee programs for the discipleship of NCC’s children and middle and high school students - including, but not limited to, Sunday morning programs for children, and youth group activities, retreats, and discipleship groups, as well as building community among the children and families
• Recruit, train and empower volunteers to support the Next Gen Ministry
• Develop a long-term vision for the ministry 
• Reach out to unchurched youth in the broader community
• Develop and oversee ministry to young adults 
• Work in close collaboration with NCC Pastors, NCC staff, NCC Leadership Team, church members, and parents to achieve ministry goals
