Student Ministry Co-Director

Kairos Church is a growing congregation in the Atlanta area. Our Student Ministries has exploded over the last couple of years and can no longer be supported with one part-time person, so we are looking to expand our Student Ministry team. This person would partner with our current director to continue to grow the program as well as create the sustainable structures needed to support this new ministry growth.

Overview

The Student Ministry Director provides spiritual and strategic pastoral leadership for the student ministry.

Accountability:  This is a part-time role (20-25 hrs/wk) that reports directly to the Lead Pastor, but partners with the current student ministry director and works closely with the student ministry committee team.

Principal Responsibilities

Spiritual Leadership

• Attend to maintaining his/her personal, spiritual, and vocational growth.
• Demonstrate joyful servant leadership, commitment to authentic Christian community, and dedication to the missional vision of the church.

Student Ministry Leadership

• Provide strategic leadership for Kairos’s Student (middle and high school) initiatives, with the goal of equipping every child and family to live out Kairos’s mission.
• Provide pastoral care and relational discipleship to students including visitors as needed and in coordination with the Lead Pastor and staff.
• Engage in outreach to local students and families.
• Work with the Leadership Team Ministry lead(s), volunteer ministry team, and any ministry partners to create an annual ministry plan that aligns with Kairos’s overall strategy and is coordinated with the plans of other Kairos ministries (particularly the Children & Family Ministry). 
• Recruit, disciple, and equip lay leaders to serve as full partners in these ministry areas. 
• Manage the ministry team, other volunteers, and ministry partners to execute the tactical activities outlined in the annual ministry plan.
• Maintain administrative oversight of the ministry, including creating and managing the ministry budget. 
• Plan, implement, and oversee Club 45 (not including the Sunday morning programming) 

Church & Community Leadership

• Participate in weekly worship services
• Contribute to the broader Kairos mission, strategy, and operations.
• Represent Kairos in the community in coordination with the Lead Pastor and other church staff.
• Other duties as required by the Lead Pastor.
