Youth Pastor

Redlands Community Church is in search of a Pastor to minister to our youth.
Along with the qualifications listed in First Timothy chapter three and Titus chapter one, the position calls for Pastoral responsibilities to the Church body, with primary focus on youth in the age range of middle school to young adult and their families.

General responsibilities are:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive, Bible based plan to strengthen our youth in their relationships with God, each other, and the church, and equip them to evangelize the lost. This plan should include Sunday School, Sunday Services, Youth nights, retreats, and special events.
• Enlist and train volunteer leaders to assist with the youth ministry.
• Assist the Senior Pastor in counseling and teaching as required and work in concert with the rest of the Pastoral staff for the health and direction of the entire Church body.
• Serve on the platform as the Senior Pastor directs.

The Pastor in charge of youth is accountable to the Elder Board, with daily responsibilities and direction from the Senior Pastor. He will find ample opportunity for service and growth in all pastoral duties alongside a seasoned and available staff.

Redlands Community Church is an independent, non-denominational Bible Church that started over 100 years ago among orchards and ranches outside of Grand Junction, on the beautiful Western Slope of Colorado. It is now a thriving, growing community, and our fellowship is well loved and respected among believers in our area. We teach the Scriptures verse by verse through books of the Bible. Our weekly attendance is in the mid-200s. The congregation is conservative, well-versed in Scripture, loving each other, and welcoming to newcomers. The pastoral staff has been working together for many years and includes the positions of Senior, Children’s, Youth, Worship, and Emeritus.

Our youth are energetic and active. They love the outdoors, hunting, camping, and retreats. RCC youth are accustomed to rich Bible study and always hungry for more. Our new Youth Pastor will have ample opportunity to fully function as an associate pastor, with opportunity to preach and learn all the aspects of shepherding the flock.

Any applicant for this position must demonstrate a strong, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, with a clear testimony of salvation. A personal commitment to spiritual growth and obedience to God’s Word is required. The applicant must have a passion for Christ and recognize God’s distinct call to Christian ministry for his life.
