Are you entrepreneurial, mission-minded, and passionate about reaching the next generation?
We’re looking for a self-starting, relational leader to pioneer a brand-new student ministry with the full support of a healthy, multi-generational church just minutes from Cal Poly and the Pacific Ocean. This is a calling to build something from the ground up in an area of our country that is predominantly unchurched and de-churched.

What We’re Looking For

  • A visionary disciple-maker who is ready to plant, not just lead, a student ministry (focusing on middle school and high school, but Cal Poly and Cuesta are also in our backyard).

  • Someone who thrives outside the office—meeting kids on campuses, at the beach, coffee shops, and wherever students gather.

  • A bridge-builder who connects the church to the community, and kids to Christ.

  • A leader who will recruit, train, and invest in volunteers before launching any programs or events.

  • Someone with a missionary mindset—the harvest is plentiful, with over 90% of students in our area not connected to any form of ministry.

  • A team player eager to partner with a gracious, prayerful, and supportive church family who believes in you and the next generations.
  • Someone with strong theological convictions and education who understands the importance of orthodoxy and orthopraxy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Young Life background or similar relational ministry experience is a major plus.

  • Proven ability to initiate and grow ministries from the ground up.

  • Strong commitment to evangelism and discipleship.

  • Demonstrated experience working with students, volunteers, and families.

  • Willingness to pursue ordination within ECO (if not already ordained), with support from our church.

Required Qualifications

Compensation & Support

  • Full medical benefits (for full-time employee)

  • Paid vacation (for full-time employee) and sick leave

  • Ongoing coaching and spiritual care
    • We will tailor the formal job description around your gifts, passions, and experience.

  • Long-term potential for this to grow into an ordained pastoral role within ECO

To Apply:
If you're energized by the idea of shaping something new, sharing the gospel with students who’ve never heard it, and walking alongside a community that’s behind you 100%, we’d love to hear from you. Email a cover letter, resumé, and one video sample of you teaching to office@morrobaypres.com

Other Tips:

Check out our website (morrobaypres.com). Listen to a few sermons and get a feel for what we are like. We preach exegetically. We value liturgy and participation from the body in worship. We want to live into our identity as the family of God.
